Friends In the Industry: New Fall Out Boys Music Video

4 02 2013

What’s up everyone! We’re now into the second month of 2013! So far, I started the year off by using my blog page to shed light on the people behind the scenes of the videos, shows, and movies that everyone sees. After posting a few blogs, I’ve been receiving positive feedback for going this route, and I anticipate that the trend will continue. So let’s get right into it.

Right now, we all witnessed the greatest spectacle of entertainment, Superbowl 47. We saw two great teams battle it out for the championship along with seeing one of the greatest defensive players in Ray Lewis finish out on top in what was his final nfl game. And while the celebration is still goin on for some, there’s another reason to celebrate this week. If you follow music and consider yourself to be a rock and roll fan, you’ll be happy to know that the members of Fall Out Boy have announced that they’re together again and are recording for their new upcoming album, “Save Rock and Roll.”

Yesterday, they released the music video for their first single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark.” This is the 2chainz edition as you see the rapper throughout the whole video. This whole shoot was gaffed by my friend, Chris DesRochers. To those who don’t know, the gaffer is the second set of eyes for the cinematographer. While the cinematographer is usually in charge of coming up with ideas for visuals, the gaffer helps out by offering his/her suggestions and then finds ways to execute the lighting scheme for each shot. So in other woods, when you look at the visuals while watching the video, you can thank Chris as he’s had hand in planning out the look of the video.
